Koder mods for Claude Code

statusline and task-router are two open-source plugins Koder SpA publishes under the MIT licence for Claude Code. The first one shows context used, rate limits and the session inventory in the status line. The second delegates each sub-task to the model and reasoning effort that fit the user's Claude plan. Both are free, both install from the same marketplace, and neither makes a network call.

Installation

Three commands inside Claude Code: one adds the marketplace, the other two install each plugin.

/plugin marketplace add Koder-SpA/claude-mods
/plugin install statusline@koderspa
/plugin install task-router@koderspa

Requirements: Node 18 or newer, which Claude Code already requires.

statusline 3.0.0

Context, rate-limit and inventory gauges in the Claude Code status line.

Claude Code status line showing the ctx, 5h and 7d gauges in one column, the inventory of skills, MCP servers and plugins, and the header line.

Three aligned gauges

ctx, 5h and 7d in a single column. Each bar colours by level: green, amber past 60% and red past 85%.

Session inventory

A right-hand column counts the skills, MCP servers and plugins the session actually loaded.

Header line

Clock, working directory, model and effort, fast-mode and thinking indicators, prompt cache hit ratio and git branch state.

Constant render cost

It parses no transcripts, estimates no spend, keeps no cache and makes no network call: a render takes around 50 ms whatever the history looks like.

Before the first model call

The rows do not show 0%: they hold their place with an empty bar and a dash until there is a first model call to read from.

It survives plugin updates

After running /setup once, it keeps working across plugin updates without being run again.

task-router 1.1.0

Delegates each sub-task to the model and reasoning effort that fit the user's Claude plan.

Four worker agents

scout, extractor, mechanic and builder, each with a bounded kind of work.

One routing skill

A single skill decides which agent each sub-task goes to, plus one session-start hook that only prints a policy.

It detects the plan

It recognises Max, Pro or API and routes accordingly: on a subscription the useful knob is reasoning effort, while on the API it is a cheaper model.

No proxy

No proxy, no gateway, no third-party API keys.

No enforcement

Nothing counts or blocks a tool call. The session-start hook prints the policy and that is where its job ends.

Prior art

task-router credits frugal, by Thomas Langbroek, and model-router, by Daniel Weiner, as prior art.

What they do not do

  • They make no network calls: nothing leaves your machine.
  • They estimate no spend and do not sum the usage reported in the transcript.
  • They count and block no tool calls.
  • They use no proxy, no gateway and no third-party API keys.

Frequently asked questions

Code and licence

Both plugins live in the same public repository under the MIT licence. The published versions are statusline 3.0.0 and task-router 1.1.0.
